1950-68 - Head Cataloguer, Public Library of New South Wales/State Library of New South Wales, to include Mitchell Library.
1956-58 - Acting Librarian, Mitchell Library.
1961 - Represented Australia at first International Conference on Cataloguing Principles, UNESCO, Paris.
1962 - Convener, Cataloguing Code Revision Committee.
1969-80 – Honorary Librarian, Royal Australian Historical Society.
