Tracey Lee WICKHAM
Also known as: Tiger
Born: 24/11/1962
Special Achievements:1978 - Wickham was the World Champion for the 400 m and 800 m freestyle.
1978 - Made a Member of the Order of the British Empire.
1978 and 1982 - Won gold in both events at the Commonwealth Games. She is a former world record holder for the 400 m, 800 m and 1500 m freestyle.
1985 - Inducted into the Sport Australia Hall of Fame.
1992 - Inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA.
2000 - Awarded the Australian Sports Medal for outstanding contribution as a competitor in swimming.
2005 - Awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia for service to Australian swimming and to the development of young swimmers through teaching and coaching roles. When Wickham was appointed an Order of the British Empire - Member (Civil) for her contribution to swimming, she was the youngest Australian to be awarded the MBE.
