Calendar, 1925, with a wooden strip at the top and bottom, front side. At the top is a fabric tab to use to hang the calendar on a wall. It measures 707 mm in length, 285 mm in width.
The “painting” is 503 mm in length and 189 mm in width. It depicts three cattle in a river. In the distance are two more. Near the horizon is what appears to be a sailboat. The sky is yellowish-bluish. Trees line both sides of the river. The short vegetation is of purple, brown, green, and yellow. The painting is signed in the bottom, left corner. The artist’s name appears to be Milton Druf___ [could not find on Internet].
Under the painting, on the left, is printed “No. 3436 COPYRIGHT.”
Following that, centered, is printed “CADER IDRIS (N. WALES).” [Cader Idris is a mountain in Gwynedd, Wales.]
The next lines are:
With Compliments from
J. W. DISHER,
Made in England for A. S. Broad & Co., Unley S. A.
To the left of these lines, surrounded by a double line border, is the title “CALENDAR, 1925” followed by the months of January to June. To the right of these lines, surrounded by a double line border, is the title “CALENDAR, 1925” followed by the months of July to December.
There are no tears. It has some wrinkles due to being rolled for a number of years. To the left of “CADER IDRIS …” are four stains; to the right are seven stains --- these carry to the backside. Under are two stains, front and back.
