MRS ISOBEL PRICE (NEE HESKETH) IN HER WEDDING DRESS. MR & MRS PRICE WERE MARRIED AT THE PALMERSTON WESLEY CHURCH, 5TH MARCH 1898 ISOBEL WAS 21 YEARS OF AGE AND FRED WAS 30. MRS PRICE LEFT PALMERSTON WITH THEIR ELDEST CHILD, HILDA AND BABY IVY TO LIVE IN ADELAIDE IN 1901. MR PRICE HAD TO REMAIN IN PALMERSTON UNTIL THE END OF 1903 WHEN HE TRAVELLED BY BOAT TO ADELAIDE TO JOIN HIS FAMILY. MRS PRICE TOOK FOUR OF HER FIVE REMAINING CHILDREN TO LIVE IN STUART TOWN WITH HER HUSBAND, TRAVELLING BY TRAIN TO OODNADATTA, THEN BY BUGGY. 1917. AFTER MR PRICE DIED IN AUGUST OF 1924, MRS PRICE RETURNED WITH THE FOUR CHILDREN TO START BUILDING HARPERS SPRINGS STATION. THEY BROUGHT BACK WITH THEM SOME 200 SHEEP. THE CHILDRENS AGES RANGED FROM 10 YEARS TO 18 YEARS, MRS PRICE WAS ONLY 48 YEARS OF AGE. DURING THE LATTER PART OF THE 1930s, MRS PRICE SOLD THE SHEEP AND PURCHASED CATTLE, THEY SHIFTED FROM HARPERS SPRINGS TO WOOLA DOWNS STATION.
