Ruth Winifred CRACKNELL

Special Achievements:

Renowned actress of film, stage and television.  Author of 'A Biased Memoir' and 'Journey From Venice'.  Ruth was the first woman to be inducted into the Australian television Hall of Fame (the Logie Hall of Fame) (in 2001 and from 1984-2016, the only woman in the Hall of Fame).

Additional Information:

1980 -  Member of the Order of Australia (AM). 1998 - the National Trust of Australia named her one of "100 National Living Treasures". Honorary doctorates from the University of Sydney and the Queensland University of Technology. In 2001 she received the JC Williamson Award for her life's work in live theatre.
