Rachel PERKINS

Special Achievements:Circa 1991 she became the youngest female Executive Producer at SBS Television.
In 1995, Rachel won the first Indigenous Program Scholarship to the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS), Sydney.
First Aboriginal woman to direct a feature film (featured in book 'Reel Women Workers in Films and TV' by Julie James BAILEY.
Perkins produced the first Indigenous drama initiative From Sand to Celluloid.
Perkins found the production company Blackfella Films, which focuses on self-representation. 1988 - Perkins directed her first feature film Radiance. Daughter of Charles Perkins (activist).
