1952 - She joined the firm Corser Henderson & Hale.
1973. Bachelor of Arts, The University of Queensland.
1996 - Received an honorary Doctorate of Philosophy, University of Queensland in recognition of services to the state and university.
1996 - She was appointed a member of the Order of Australia in for services to the finance industry and the community.
2003 - Awarded the Centenary Medal for distinguished service to business and commerce.
2006 - Griffith University awarded her the honorary degree of Doctor of the University.
