Special Achievements
Susan Buchanan was the first woman head of New South Wales' pre-eminent dental hospital, the United Dental Hospital, Sydney (Director of Dental Services: 1999).
Additional Information
Susan graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1969 with a Bachelor of Dental Science with Honours. She has worked in private dental practice, in public hospitals and in public dental research, as well as being involved in teaching and research. She worked in England between 1972-1976. She went on to complete a Master of Business Administration (1998), belongs to a large range of professional societies related to dentistry and management and is a member of the International College of Dentists, the Pierre Fauchard Academy and the Academy of Dentistry International.
