Special Achievements

• Lynn worked for twelve years as the State Librarian and CEO of the Western Australian state library (from 1989-2001).  Over a period of 107 years, Professor Allen was only the fourth State Librarian and the first woman to have held this prestigious and demanding position.  During her tenure, Lynn oversaw considerable technological advance in service delivery and is recognised nationally and internationally as a leader in the professional field of information management sciences.
