Special Achievements

  • 1937 - First woman ordained in Victoria of any denomination.
  • Became first full time chaplin to Queen Victoria Hospital, which was the first time a full-time chaplin was appointed to a major hospital in Australia.
  • 1932 - First woman accepted to the Theological School of the Congregational College of Victoria.
  • 1976 - Awarded the Order of the British Empire for her chaplaincy work.
